The National Black MBA Association (NBMBAA) is a premier business organization dedicated to advancing educational and economic empowerment for Black professionals. Since its founding in 1970, NBMBAA has worked to lead in the creation of educational opportunities and economic growth for Black students, entrepreneurs, and professionals. With a national network of chapters and members, the organization focuses on providing access to higher education, career advancement, leadership development, and wealth-building initiatives.
The South Florida Chapter of NBMBAA proudly serves Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties by bringing this mission to life through impactful local programming, strategic partnerships, and community engagement. We are a dynamic collective of professionals, students, and business leaders committed to uplifting one another and expanding pathways for success in business and beyond.
Our chapter stands for excellence, inclusion, and empowerment. We are passionate about cultivating Black leadership in South Florida through mentoring, education, and networking. By fostering connections between emerging talent and established professionals, we help drive real progress in the corporate, nonprofit, and entrepreneurial sectors.
Programming is the heartbeat of NBMBAA South Florida. Over the past year, we’ve hosted a wide range of events including our Annual Year End Celebration, which celebrates Black excellence within our community. Our Financial Empowerment Series equips attendees with tools for wealth-building, investing, and financial literacy. We’ve launched the Black Business Marketplace, spotlighting local Black-owned businesses and offering a platform for entrepreneurs to thrive.
Our Leaders of Tomorrow program provides mentorship and college readiness workshops for high school students, ensuring the next generation is prepared to lead. Additionally, professional development events such as our Lunch and Learn Virtual Series, Executive Speaker Series, MBA Mixer, Women in Leadership panels and more connect members with influential thought leaders and foster career advancement.
