U.S. Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz entered the final stretch of a short but bruising Democratic primary campaign with an enormous financial advantage over her four opponents.

After a strong fundraising quarter, newly filed finance reports show Wasserman Schultz had $2.8 million in her campaign account seven weeks before the Aug. 18 primary — more than six times the campaign cash of the other four candidates combined.
