Michelle A. Kirwan, MD, FAAP

Dr. Michelle A. Kirwan is a board-certified pediatrician, public health leader, and media host with more than a decade of experience advancing health equity in underserved communities. She served for 12 years as Chief Medical Officer at a Federally Qualified Health Center in Miami Gardens, Florida, where she helped build and expand comprehensive, community-centered health programs spanning pediatric, adult, dental, HIV/STI, and mobile healthcare.
Dr. Kirwan is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a graduate of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, where she received the prestigious Iron Arrow Honor in recognition of leadership and service. She completed her pediatric residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
She is the host of “Black Health,” a television and digital media program airing on the CW Network and online platforms, focused on illnesses disproportionately affecting Black communities. Dr. Kirwan remains active in professional and civic leadership through long-standing service with the James W. Bridges, MD Medical Society and engagement in climate-health advocacy with Florida Clinicians for Climate Action.
Through her clinical, media, and advocacy work, Dr. Kirwan is a trusted voice on health equity, public health leadership, and culturally responsive healthcare.
