BREAKING NEWS!!! M•I•A Media Group Endorses Dale V.C. Holness for Florida’s 20th Congressional District Race

At M•I•A Media Group, we have always believed that our responsibility extends beyond reporting the news. We have a duty to inform, to challenge, and, when appropriate, to take a stand on the issues and leadership that will shape the future of our community. An endorsement is not a reward for friendship, political influence or party loyalty. It is a statement of principle based on experience, leadership, character and the ability to deliver meaningful results for the people.

After carefully evaluating the candidates for Florida’s 20th Congressional District, M•I•A Media Group proudly and unequivocally endorses Dale V.C. Holness for the United States Congress.

We believe he is the most qualified candidate in the race.

District 20 is one of the most significant congressional districts in America. It has long served as a powerful voice for a community that has fought for representation, equal opportunity and economic progress. The next member of Congress must understand both the history of this district and the responsibility that comes with representing it.

Today, the challenges facing District 20 are substantial. Families are struggling with the rising cost of housing. Seniors are worried about protecting Social Security and Medicare. Small businesses need greater access to capital. Young people deserve better educational and workforce opportunities. Our communities need stronger economic investment, safer neighborhoods and a representative who understands that public office is about serving people—not serving politics.

Dale Holness has spent decades preparing for this responsibility.

His service as a City Commissioner in Lauderhill, Broward County commissioner and Broward County mayor reflects a career built on public service, economic development, job creation, neighborhood investment and expanding opportunities for businesses and working families. He understands how government works because he has successfully led at multiple levels of government. More importantly, he has demonstrated the ability to bring people together to solve problems instead of creating division.

That is the kind of leadership Congress desperately needs.

Our decision not to endorse Congresswoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz is equally deliberate.

We recognize and respect her years of public service. However, we do not believe this candidacy represents the future that District 20 deserves. This district has a unique history and identity, and we believe its representation should continue to be grounded in leaders whose public service has been closely connected to the communities that define it. At a time when voters are demanding authentic representation and renewed leadership, we believe District 20 has a stronger choice.

We also decline to endorse the remaining candidates.

Several have demonstrated a sincere desire to serve, and we respect anyone willing to seek public office. However, serving in Congress requires far more than good intentions. It requires executive experience, legislative knowledge, sound judgment and the ability to build consensus in an increasingly divided political environment. In our judgment, Dale Holness possesses those qualities more completely than any other candidate in this race.

Our decision regarding former Congresswoman Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick is based on a principle that has guided this publication for more than two decades: public trust is everything.

When ethical questions become a persistent part of a public official’s tenure, public confidence is weakened. Regardless of political affiliation, elected officials must be held to the highest standards of accountability, transparency and integrity. We also believe effective leadership requires humility, openness to accountability and respect for the people being served. In our opinion, District 20 deserves leadership that restores confidence in public office and keeps the focus where it belongs—on the people.

This endorsement is not about personalities.

It is about leadership.

It is about choosing experience over uncertainty, substance over symbolism and results over rhetoric.

The people of District 20 deserve a representative who will fight to expand economic opportunity, address the affordability crisis, protect earned benefits, strengthen public education, support entrepreneurs and ensure that South Florida receives the attention and investment it deserves in Washington.

We believe Dale Holness has earned that responsibility.

M•I•A Media Group has spent more than two decades documenting the progress, celebrating the achievements and advocating for the interests of our community. We do not make endorsements casually. We make them when we believe the future of our community demands clarity.

This is one of those moments.

For his record of public service, his executive experience, his commitment to economic opportunity and his demonstrated ability to lead, M•I•A Media Group proudly endorses Dale V.C. Holness for the United States Congress.

We encourage every voter in Florida’s 20th Congressional District to study the candidates, examine their records and cast a vote not based on campaign slogans or political familiarity, but on proven leadership. In our judgment, that choice is clear.

That choice is Dale V.C. Holness.
