Cleveland Browns quarterback a reminder that harming women never seems to rise to a level of outrage that brings real consequences

Deshaun Watson will start at quarterback for the Cleveland Browns to begin the 2026 season. It is an indefensible, inexcusable act of incompetence and cruelty.There are plenty of football reasons why Watson should not be a starting quarterback. He ranks as one of the worst starters in the league, he is oft-injured (suffering Achilles tears in October 2024 and January 2025), and he ended the preseason with a poor showing that drew boos from fans. Pundits will spend the next few weeks criticizing the Browns for starting him.
