Barack and Michelle Obama are reportedly “in talks” to produce a prominent sports movie. There have been some extremely well received sports movies in recent years. Will Smith won an Academy Award for his portrayal of Venus and Serena Williams’ dad in “King Richard.” Matt Damon and Ben Affleck starred as Nike executives in “Air,” which detailed the shoe company’s signing of Michael Jordan. Now, a Tiger Woods biopic could be coming.
According to reports, the former President of the United States and his wife are in negotiations to produce the movie.

The movie is reportedly being developed by Amazon MGM. The film about Tiger Woods is reportedly going to be based on Kevin Cook’s recently released book “The Tiger Slam: The Inside Story of the Greatest Golf Ever Played.”
Barack and Michelle Obama’s production company, Higher Ground, is reportedly “in talks” to produce the movie. According to Deadline, the movie “will tackle the rise of Tiger Woods from child prodigy to one of the greatest athletes golf has ever produced.” Woods, now 49, is the most famous golfer of all-time. He’s won 15 major championships and, despite not winning a major since The Masters in 2019, continues to be a massive topic in the sports world. Woods recently announced that he had suffered a torn Achilles and would be out for a while. ”
As I began to ramp up my own training and practice at home, I felt a sharp pain in my left Achilles, which was deemed to be ruptured,” he announced. “This morning, Dr. Charlton Stucken of Hospital for Special Surgery in West Palm Beach, Florida performed a minimally-invasive Achilles tendon repair for a ruptured tendon. ‘The surgery went smoothly, and we expect a full recovery,’ added Dr. Stucken. I am back home now and plan to focus on my recovery and rehab, thank you for all the support.” Meanwhile, a release date for the movie is not currently out yet. 2025
