As President and CEO of the National Association of Black Hotel Owners, Operators, and Developers (NABHOOD), he has spent decades advocating for Black ownership, supplier diversity, and inclusive economic participation across the hospitality sector. Through policy engagement, industry partnerships, and sustained advocacy, he has helped position minority entrepreneurs within spaces where access has historically been limited.

His work continues to shape pathways for ownership, representation, and long-term participation in one of the nation’s most competitive industries.

The brand has become one of the most recognizable Caribbean food concepts in its market. Together, they have built a space where Caribbean heritage is centered at the table.

Fort Lauderdale CRA

The Fort Lauderdale Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA), led by Executive Director Rickelle Williams, directs targeted investment into neighborhoods to expand development, small-business growth, and revitalized corridors.

Through redevelopment projects, catalytic partnerships, and a data-informed approach, the CRA converts underused spaces into active centers of commerce, housing, and public life. The agency stands as one of the region’s most deliberate models for targeted redevelopment.

Alexandra P. Davis

Alexandra P. Davis is a public servant and cultural champion whose career centers on service to the Caribbean diaspora.

A British-born, Jamaican-raised graduate of the University of the West Indies, Davis built her foundation in agriculture and government roles across Kingston, London, and Miami-Dade County before entering elected office.

In Miramar, she founded Afro-Carib and helped deliver landmark projects, including the Usain Bolt statue at Ansin Sports Complex, reinforcing the city’s role as a hub for Caribbean heritage.

She is among the most visible advocates for Caribbean cultural representation in South Florida public life. Now serving as Broward County Commissioner, she stewards a multibillion-dollar budget while expanding visibility, representation, and access for diverse communities.
