Blige, Charlie Wilson and Erykah Badu, the festival never fails to deliver an unforgettable experience.

Since its inception, “Jazz in the Gardens” has evolved into more than just a music festival—I’ve witnessed how it’s strengthened the economic development in Miami Gardens. From food trucks now opening brick-and-mortar and big crowds stopping by  Lorna’s Caribbean restaurant. That escovitch fish is a must try with the rice and peas. The festival started as a small local event only covering jazz sounds and artists. WOW! Reflecting back to the inception, it has grown into a major tourism magnet! Visitors are beginning to realize Miami Gardens is a cultural hub.

Did you all see this year’s line-up? I mean it’s an array of talent from the legendary R&B group New Edition to the iconic Toni Braxton. Like TONI BRAXTON! And even though she may not have the best attendance record, I am looking forward to seeing Ms. Lauryn Hill perform live with her son, YG Marley. But wait there’s more. There will be a reunion with Wyclef Jean appearing as well! Hip-hop enthusiasts will be thrilled with appearances by Busta Rhymes and Doechii; YES, Grammy Award-winning artist Doechii! And of course “Jazz in the Gardens” is taking me back to my nostalgic early 20s years by bringing Ja Rule, Fat Joe and Remy Ma, who are set to ignite the stage with their high-energy performances.

It’s clear that Jazz in the Gardens is not just a concert—it’s a movement that continues to elevate both the city and the artists it features. See ya soon!
