Alexis Brown

Miami native Alexis Brown is a trailblazer transforming South Florida’s cultural landscape. As founder and CEO of SocialXchange, Inc., Brown curates immersive events that foster community, celebrate Black and Brown excellence, and empower professionals across social, artistic, and wellness spaces.

Brown also co-founded the Black Pepper Food Festival, South Florida’s first Black restaurant-focused food festival, which uplifts Black-owned culinary businesses by promoting group economics and collective support.

Named Best Event Curator of 2024 by Miami New Times, she is widely recognized for her visionary leadership in elevating Black culture. She revitalized Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.’s graduate chapter in Miami and leads as the current president. Her civic engagement spans The Links, Incorporated and the Hampton University Alumni Association, reinforcing her commitment to community advancement.

Beyond event planning, Brown is dedicated to building infrastructure and ensuring Black excellence is both visible and celebrated in South Florida.
