Rainy season in South Florida, which runs from May 15 to Oct. 15, will likely be less wet than normal, but also hotter than normal, say experts at the National Weather Service.
“It’s leaning below normal for precipitation and above normal for temperature,” said Robert Molleda, lead meteorologist at the Miami office of the NWS.
Forecasters there released their annual Wet Season Outlook on Thursday.
Molleda said the forecast is more confident in its heat prediction than in its rain prediction.
