Is Tracy Morgan OK? That’s what many of his fans were wondering after the comedian suffered a medical emergency during a basketball game at Madison Square Garden Monday night. Footage shared on social media shows Morgan leaning over and throwing up on the floor while sitting in the front row during the third quarter at the Miami Heat vs. New York Knicks game. The incident caused about a 10 minute delay as Morgan was taken out of the venue in a wheelchair, a towel over his face. Witnesses say he was also bleeding from the nose.
“We hope Tracy feels better soon and look forward to seeing him back courtside,” A said MSG in a statement. Well, not to worry: He is OK. On Instagram Tuesday morning, Morgan shared an update from a hospital bed, taped to monitors and giving a thumbs up sign.

“Thank you for all your concern!” said the caption. “I’m doing OK now and doctors say it was food poisoning.” He goes on to thank his “MSG family” and the clean-up crew, and then couldn’t resist a sports related joke. “More importantly, the Knicks are now 1-0 when I throw up on the court so maybe I’ll have to break it out again in the playoffs.”
Morgan, who has been sober for decades after battling alcohol issues, has well documented health struggles. The 56-year-old Brooklyn native is diabetic and underwent a kidney transplant in 2010. The “SNL” alum was also in a major car crash with a Walmart truck on the New Jersey Turnpike in 2014 and spent months recovering.
