Mahershala Ali has long been expected to play Blade in the upcoming Marvel reboot of the character. The only problem? No one seems to have any idea what the delay in creating the new Blade film is.
However, Ali put that to rest at the New York premiere of the new film Jurassic World Rebirth, as Variety revealed. While it was six years ago when producer Kevin Feige announced that Ali would portray the popular vampire slayer in a reboot of the original Wesley Snipes films, it’s been one constant delay and issue after another.
As Variety points out, numerous directors have dropped and cast members have been lost, among other issues surrounding Blade’s reboot.
