Florida Memorial University Celebrated their Spring 2025 Graduates. Prime Minister of the Bahamas Delivered Keynote Address

The commencement ceremony was held Saturday, May 10, 8 a.m. at the FMU Clock Tower Pavilion, 15800 NW 42nd Avenue, Miami Gardens, Fla.

“We will honor the milestones of achievement of our 2025 graduates, and Saturday’s commencement belongs to them, to our faculty, staff, and to everyone who attributed to their success,” said Mr. William McCormick, Interim President of Florida Memorial University.

Mr. Davis is a respected attorney, seasoned legislator, and is an advocate for social justice. He has dedicated his life to expanding economic opportunities and uplifting Bahamian families.

FMU awarded more than 200 bachelor’s and master’s degrees to its Spring 2025 graduates.

Founded in 1879, Florida Memorial University is the only Historically Black College and University in South Florida. FMU is a private, coeducational, culturally diverse institution that offers 26 undergraduate programs, four graduate programs, and several professional programs. FMU is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). FMU programs are accredited by the Aviation Accreditation Board International, the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs, the Computing Accreditation Commission of ABET, the Florida Department of Education, and the Council on Social Work Education.
