Celebrate Women’s History Month with Broward County Library

(Black PR Wire) BROWARD COUNTY, FL – Throughout March 2025, Broward County Library (BCL) will host a wide range of in-person and online events for all ages celebrating Women’s History Month.

Broward County Library’s engaging series of Women’s History Month events are dedicated to the accomplishments of world-changing women. Free programs include arts & crafts, concerts, lectures, trivia nights, children’s storytimes and more.

Featured Women’s History Month 2025 Events

  • Girls of Pearls is a social youth empowerment opportunity to discuss self-confidence, bullying, leadership, goal setting, etiquette and financial literacy for tweens and teens, and is scheduled from 6-7:30PM, March 10, at Jan Moran Collier City Learning Library.
  • Broward Women Pioneers explores how dynamic women have been shaping the future of Broward County for over 200 years and is scheduled from 1:30-3PM, March 17, at Century Plaza/Leon Slatin Branch Library.
  • Cultural Conversations: Harriet Tubman and the Civil War reveals the amazing story, told by a descendant, of how Tubman liberated plantations in the service of the Union Army, scheduled from 5:30-7:30PM, March 19, at the African American Research Library and Cultural Center (AARLCC).
