The City of Miramar hosts the 4th Annual Women’s Empowerment Luncheon in recognition of Women History Month, an inspiring event designed to bring women together in education, leadership, and empowerment. The highly anticipated luncheon, hosted by Commissioner Yvette Colbourne, will take place on Friday, March 14, 2025, from 12 PM to 2 PM at the Miramar Cultural Center.
Distinguished guest speaker for 2025 is Valerie Jarrett, Chief Executive Officer and member of the Board of Directors of the Barack Obama Foundation. A powerhouse in public service and leadership, Jarrett brings a wealth of experience and wisdom to the event, inspiring attendees with her insights on progress, leadership, and the role of women in shaping the future.
The Women’s Empowerment Luncheon is one of Miramar’s most sought-after events, known for its diversity and engagement in thought-provoking discussions and networking opportunities. Over the past four years, the City has welcomed renowned speakers, including Ana Navarro and Donna Brazile, Political strategists and commentators, both of whom have ignited meaningful conversations on political engagement, leadership, and women’s impact on society.
This year’s theme, “Moving Forward Together! Women Educating and Inspiring Generations,” underscores the importance of mentorship, unity, and intergenerational collaboration in advancing opportunities for women.
