As we get back to work or hit the road for a late summer vacation, drivers are getting a break: Gas prices are down by double digits in Florida this week. Prices also are down in the Miami and Fort Lauderdale area compared to the same time last week.
But the average Miami-area price is 3 cents a gallon higher than a month ago and 94 cents higher than a year ago, according to GasBuddy, a national fuel monitoring service that surveys nearly 1,700 stations in South Florida
