Torey Alston is facing a vote next week on whether he should be fired as president of Broward College, barely 18 months into his tenure. The college’s Board of Trustees has scheduled a special meeting for 8 a.m. Wednesday to consider a motion from Trustee Michael Caschette “to terminate Torey Alston without cause.” The same board unanimously hired Alston on Jan. 31, 2025, and approved a four-year contract on Feb. 24, 2025.
